Did Google Answers really shut down because of this site?

I understand “researchers” aren’t paid here, but the general quality of answers appears to be quite low. A number of news sites reporting the closure of Google Answers claim they shut down mainly due to competition from this site. Really?
8 CommentsIf you believe this please explain how it could be so, given the typically much lower quality of single/individual answers. If you don’t believe it, please provide a reason why you personally believe they shut down (in my case I think the problem was poor/no advertising and counting almost solely on word-of-mouth for people to discover the site).

bridge coming in to san fransisco, there is an exit which is a very steep hill and as you turn the corner itheres parking where you can walk to a fort and an awesome view of the GG bridge and the bay. Does this exit have a name or even better can anyone point me to a web site with a detailed map? i visited there at the beginning of the year and am now trying to show my bos how to get there as she is visiting soon. it is so beautiful!

What are the ethics of homework help on this site?

Many questions on this site pertain to homework, assignments and the like. What are the responsibilities of the people who answer the questions? I always try to “walk” the questioner to the answer but always leaving the last mile out. However, I notice that other people just barge right in and give the complete answer along with how to get there (presumably in the hopes of getting more “best answers”). Is that ethical for the answerer? Is it beneficial to the questioner?

I saw an article about this site that Kleenex has that allows you to add photos and backgrounds and design your own Kleenex box. I just heard some people on my radio talk about them. Do you know what the site is and if you’ve used it, how does it work? I think it would be a great idea for the holidays if you can order and get it by then.

I used to think it was cool, but it seems like everybody who answers is 13 and not very knowledgeable. There are also people who play doctor and try and diagnose people.
Is this site of no real use unless you are asking about Hello Kitty or looking for medical information from a layperson?
I don’t ask for medical diagnoses. I ask for computer help and all kinds of other things, I’ve never gotten a helpful answer.

How can I advertise job openings for my video game website?

I want to know how to promote job openings for a website, so that people can become a moderator and reviewer and so on. And I have already posted a form on the front page so people can see it .
