How do I contact Google about a mistake in indexing my site?

Recently some load spikes from site like Digg have caused me to have to ‘mirror’ my site to cached versions. Now, however, Google keeps indexing those temporary versions over my original articles. I need to know how to let Google know about the problem and that they should index the original content, not the temporary mirrors.

imagine if google earth was first to spot australia and claim as their own? instead of the british discovering australia?

would they have this if so?:

googlemite (not vegemite)
Gmail (instead of australia post)
google airways (instead of Qantas)
Google Motors (instead of holden)
Googleroo (not kangaroo)
Goobat (instead of wombat)
Googleque (not barbecue)
etc…
can you think of anymore lol?

If I were to write a question in another version of this site in another language, would i get better answers?

Ok, let’s say instead of asking a question in English here, let’s say I went to the Italian, spanish, etc. version of this site where everyone speaks another language, and I used google’s translator to talk their langauge, and let’s say I asked a question there, would I get better answers than if I were to speak in english in the american version?

(btw this counts the candaian and the british versions even though their version is english too)

a Google search problem?

When you use ‘yahoo answers’(no single quotation marks) as a search term to run a Google search, the 6th result is Yahoo! answers-wikipedia,the free encyclopedia, whose URL is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yahoo!_Answers. The snippet is

Yahoo! Answers is a community-driven knowledge market website launched by Yahoo! on December 13, 2005 that allows users to ask and answer questions posed by …

But if you use “yahoo answers is” or “yahoo! answers is” and site:wikipedia.org to run another Google search, this result will be missing from the search result set.

Why does this happen?
“yahoo answers is” or “yahoo! answers is ” exists in the snippet.
Google phrase search will miss some results. Sometimes even a phrase is in the snippet, Google phrase search will miss it.

Is it possible to assign an icon to a bookmarked site?

Google’s got a G (by the link), Yahoo a Y, Wikipedia a W. Many big-name sites have a little icon next to the link on your favorites bar. Sometimes though, they disapear when the sitemaster is changing things.

Anyway, I’m just wondering if there’s a way to add your own because for me it just looks a little astetically displeasing with a jumble of icon and no-icon sites (especially since many had them, but now dont)
I use FireFox BTW, is does that program work with it?

Need a site to create a weekly class schedule?

I need a schedule maker online. I found one years ago that let me input my class, classtime, and room and it would create it for me.

Google calandar and the templates on Excel don’t have anything I’m looking for (the main difference is I need a schedule that goes by hour to hour, not by a “class period”)

I can’t find the site I’m looking for that will allow me to input the info and for it to spit it out on a nice chart…maybe my googling skills aren’t there tonight. Help?
