What is the EASIEST way to setup a new website?

I recently purchased a domain name from GoDaddy for a new business that I am starting. I am pretty tech savvy but I have never built my own website. I want to try and give it a shot myself before I use an easy website builder such as Yahoo. How do I go about this? What are the free methods I can use? I don’t even know where to go to start working on my page (probably GoDaddy.com since I purchased it there). I would like to do as much for free as possible before I have to get it hosted and all that stuff. I more or less want to make a great starter page (unless I can make it nicer) until I can get a better idea of which website creation tool I can use to give it a professional finish. I know there are some awesome template tools available once you know the basics and my site can have the polish of a professional site. Also, what are the cheapest yet best/most professional website builder tools out there? Who is the best/cheapest hosts out there? At what size do I need a host? I guess a little website 101 might be in order too! Thanks in advance!

I would probably start with Microsoft Office Publisher (web sites template) and go from there.

As to your other questions (cheapest host, size)……. not sure!
Hope someone else can help with that.

This is the company I have been using for the last couple years totally free hosting no banners great bandwidth and nice storage:
Also if you would rather customize a template rather than build a site from scratch try word press templates for your site and take advantage of all the web2.0 apps out there.
    good luck to ya ;)

Depending on what your budget is, I would recommend using a WYSIWYG program to design your site and get your feet wet with web design. Learn the basics and such first and then go in and look at how the coding is done and then play around with it. I use a program called WebEasy Pro version 7 a lot of the time for my more simple sites. They are easy to build and are relatively quick to get built. The program costs around $40 give or take.

The program has a lot of templates to use, but personally I like to build mine from a blank page. Hopefully this helps you out. If you need assistance, feel free to contact me.
