Question about the Ruger SR9?

I recently bought an SR9 which I’m very pleased with (except for the front site not being epoxied on - I almost lost it the first use ). My question is something that I read in the manual. It says to not dry fire the gun without a clip in it because it could damage the gun. How is this so? I don’t see any reason (or noticeable difference) when the clip is in vs. when it’s not.

What can damage the pistol without the clip in?

thanks in advance!

Where can I find maps of my street with views from the front yard?

I was given a site a while back to get directions and there were images of the front of peoples’ homes. It was like someone was standing in my front yard taking a picture. I ended up looking at all of my family’s homes as well…all over the state. You could drag the picture up and down any street and see the car in the driveway, the license plate of the car and the address on the front door…very close up. Not aerial views…views from street level. I’ve tried YahooMaps and GoogleEarth and several others but these maps are not the same as the views I saw before. Can anyone help me??
Thank you! Just found it!

Why is it that only the President has 2 term limit, and Judges and Legislators can hold office for ever?

I know our founding fathers did not put term limits—but is it fair for our judges and legislators to hold office till they die or become senile—in fact, judging by the voting record of many, some are already there—I mean senility has set in!

You can of course answer this question, but do me a favor—go to your representatives’ voting and bill-initiation record and find out if they are any good. Many legislators have been holding office for 6,7 terms, and their key accomplishment seems to be bringing pork and not thinking of national interests. No wonder they fight lower taxes and have spin-masters running their web-sites!

For those of you who are history buffs, read Gibbons’ Roman Empire history—lots of similarities in the decadence and apathy that prevailed in the Roman Senate.

One way is to get some fresh blood in the other two branches of the Government.

Is there a photo hosting site that will accept directly from the camera?

My brother’s images from his new camera are too large for his OLD pc.

Is there a photo hosting site, such as photobucket, that will upload directly from a digital camera?
Thanks to both of you. I will send both messages his way.
Some great answers here! It appears he has options.
